Abstract
Acute coronary syndrome is a disorder of vulnerable plaque and a high risk of heart attack due to reduced oxygen supply to the myocardial muscle due to plaque forming or plaque rupture. Aspiration thrombectomy is a therapy or action that is carried out by suctioning out blood clots in blood vessels. This action can be carried out if the medical therapy carried out is not successful. The aim of the study was to determine the actions performed on patients with ST elevation myocardial infarction and the results obtained from aspiration thrombectomy. The type of research used is descriptive research with a case study approach design. The research technique used was purposive sampling using two research samples. The research results obtained were from research conducted on patients Mr. M and Mr. A underwent the same treatment, namely aspiration thrombectomy, but with different results. In patient 1, after aspiration thrombectomy, the results were TIMI 3 flow and the second patient obtained TIMI 1 flow results with the follow-up action being taken, namely stent installation in both patients due to plaque forming in the ruptured blood vessels..
